Wayfair.co.uk Review

Wayfair bedroom design displayThe wayfair.co.uk online store has a refreshing and modern look to it. The menu bar is minimalistic, in fact the whole header and top section is the same making it very easy on the eye. The menu is organised by department, room or simply a search box. There’s an inspiration tab for the ideas and advice page which is a kind of blog and help page combined. Looking further reveals it as a design inspiration page giving tips on mixing products for maximum effect.

What is pretty unique and interesting is the ideas board where users can register and put forward and share ideas which can be shared with friends and family. Moving on and down the homepage the design and look remains consistent. There are images which direct users to featured departments throughout the store with a section for featured products. You have to scroll to the bottom of the page for the contact details but they are situated in a prominent position that is easily found. Here you have the contact telephone number, FAQ link and the customer service opening hours.

Selecting a product reveals a quick buy popup or you can go to the product details page for a full description. Adding the product to the basket reveals a similar or related product slider which can be annoying but also helpful in some circumstances.

Delivery is free subject to a minimum spend, a delivery time estimate is available by entering your postcode. What is surprising is that the free delivery option is valid on both one and two man delivery at the time of writing. Payment can be made via debit and credit card or PayPal checkout which can be convenient for those with an account.
